Antique French  jewellery casket, with red silk buttoned cushion (faded with age).  Exceptionally large measuring 16.5cm by 12.5cm wide by 11cm high.  It boasts 4 thick glass bevelled panels with ornate brass mounts, standing on 4 ellaborate brass feet.  Pre-owned item with light signs of wear.
 
These were extremely popular souvenirs for those rich enough to take the "Grand Tour" of European countries in the 18th & 19th centuries.
