Antique French  jewellery casket, with blue silk buttoned cushion (faded with age).  It measures 7.5cm wide by 6.5cm deep by 8.5cm high.  It boasts thick glass bevelled panels with ornate brass mounts, standing on 4 ellaborate brass feet.  Pre-owned item with light signs of wear.
 
These were extremely popular souvenirs for those rich enough to take the "Grand Tour" of European countries in the 18th & 19th centuries.
