Marked 800 silver and with a foreign stamp to the back, this Art Nouveau brooch looks alike the works of Martin Mayer Mainz.  The silver to the front has been crafted in the patterns of roses and to the centre sits are large oval carrelian stone.  It is ready to wear and measure 6.5cm by 4.5cm, there are marks and scratches which are mainly to the back, as would be expected from a brooch of its age.
