A very fine early hand carved shell cameo set in gold tone metal, this is superbly crafted brooch depicting a rare hunting scene
There is wear to the metal and some cracks to the shell,  although the metal is not gold, on the reverse the additional supports look like gold but there are no marks
It measures 5cm wide x 5.5cm high
